MacroThis time I went with macro. During this assignment I found an old candle holder in my parents room with this cool design of bubbles, the background is printer paper and its sitting on a note book by my window. Honestly I love bubbles and the way they look. I really enjoyed getting up close to it and taking the pictures. Although I had some struggles with the camera focusing and some lighting issues along the way. I ended up editing the brightness and highlights in Camera Raw. I really think my photos came out good in the end though. f/5.3, 1/320 s, ISO 1600, I adjusted highlights, whites, shadows, and some clarity.

Photoshop CarI really enjoyed this photoshop assignment. During this assignment we used a photo taken by another student and edited it to make the photo better. On the left is the before and on the right is the after. Photoshop is fun to play around with, I learned how to remove backgrounds, use the clone and stamp tool and I learned how to adjust the levels to change the overall contrast of the photo.
Still lifeThis shooting assignment felt easier to do than the first. This weekend I was super busy so I decided to do still life because it was easy for me to be able to set up a subject to shoot and adjust the lighting myself. I spent a lot of time fixing and adjusting the lighting but finally liked the look of using my phone for light. I decided on these subjects because I really like they way they looked I saw them on display in my room and realized I forgot all about them there, so I decided to use them as my subjects. I used on old T shirt I found in my closet for the background and placed my subjects on top of a black notebook. This assignment was good, I learned during this shoot that using many different items at home, even old T shirts, could result in good pictures. f/5.6, 1/160 s, ISO 3200. I edited the shadows and blacks in this picture to create a solid background and increased the vibrance just a little.
Pop ArtDuring this assignment we edited a picture of are self to create a "pop art" like look "Creating an Andy Warhol-like effect." This assignment was fun and I enjoyed doing it, I learned about adding layers in photoshop to are pictures, cropping the photo, and I learned about changing the filter on a photo.
For my first Shooting assignment I picked shadows and light. Throughout the week I looked for good spots to take my pictures at and looked for some inspiration. I really struggled finding a good subject to actually take pictures of. I was at my grandmas house and saw this cool lamp and loved they way it looked with the different colors and different ways I could change it. I liked the way some of my photos turned out, some I didn't like at all. I really like the shooting assignments so far and learned that maybe next time I should use my time more wisely. f/3.8, 1/2500 s, ISO 2800. Edited temperature, and a little tint.
